Sixty years ago, Irgun Jewish resistance fighters bombed the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, which housed the British Mandate Secretariat and Army headquarters, killing 91 people, including 28 Britons. The Irgun bombers were opposed to British rule of Palestine. A plaque commemorating the terrorist attack has been unveiled.
