AVATAR's brutal depiction of an occupying power of Humans come to take the natural resources of the Na'vi's of Pandora can be seen to reflect many conflicts here on Earth. From White Euro-Americans v. Native Americans, Europeans v. Africans, Americans v. Iraqis, to the illegal and inhumane occupation by Israel of Palestinian lands. Illegal Israeli settlements are constantly being created or expanded by razing Palestinian homes, stealing their lands--the lands with the best resources (water sources, fertile soil), building new homes and towns and giving them to any Jew who will move there even foreign Jews. Meanwhile Palestinians are left homeless and landless, despite having deeds dating back before the beginning of the Israeli state when the Palestinian population out-numbered the Jewish population.
